Breast self-examination is perhaps the most important form of personal healthcare at your disposal and is the most practical method of noticing any early changes.
The earlier an abnormality is detected the more likely it is that it can be treated successfully. Any changes that occur in your breast should be brought to the attention of your doctor.
Self-examination should be performed on a monthly basis by women over the age of 20; the best time is a week after menstruation.
Women’s & Breast Imaging can show you the various methods of self-examination or you can download our brochure containing useful information, tips and techniques.
